Kandi Narsimulu is a contemporary visual artist from Kaslabad, Siddipet, Telangana, India. With an MFA in Painting (2011) from JNA&FAU, Hyderabad, and a BFA in Painting (1998) from JNTU, Hyderabad, his artistic journey reflects a deep connection to the cultural and rural essence of Telangana. Over the years, Narsimulu has evolved into a prominent figure in the Indian contemporary art scene, showcasing his works nationally and internationally.
Narsimulu’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in the rustic rhythms of rural life, blending cultural narratives with modern visual language. His paintings are known for their earthy tones, textural richness, and an emotional depth that bridges traditional motifs with contemporary forms.
His career is highlighted by several solo exhibitions including “Ethnic Impressions” (2021, Kadari Art Gallery, Hyderabad), “Rural Whispers” (2015, Aalankritha Art Gallery, Hyderabad), and “2D & 3D” (2014, Gallery G, Bangalore). He has also been part of numerous group shows across India and abroad — in Dubai, Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia, and multiple major Indian cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi.
Narsimulu has received many honors and awards, such as the Gold Medal at the All India Painting Exhibition by Hyderabad Art Society (2011), recognition from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University (2010), and participation in KALA KUMBH – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (2021) organized by NGMA and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He was also an invited artist at the Sasaran International Art Festival, Malaysia (2017).
Throughout his journey, he has been an active participant in art camps across India and overseas, including projects with Lalit Kala Akademi, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, and the Telangana Government. His works are part of prestigious collections such as the India School of Business, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Salarjung Museum, State Bank of India, Deccan Chronicle, and Rosewood Hotel Group, Hong Kong.
Narsimulu’s art continues to celebrate the cultural soul of Telangana while embracing a global sensibility. His paintings and sculptures reflect a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation — offering viewers a visual journey through color, texture, and emotion.
