Dangat Rahul Nivrutti is an accomplished Indian painter born on September 20, 1982 in Pimpri, Maharashtra. He resides in Kalwadi, Junnar, Pune, and has completed a G.D. Art Painting diploma from Bharati Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune in 2004, followed by a B.F.A. in Painting from M.M.K. College of Visual Art, Gulbarga, Karnataka in 2005, both with first-class honors.
Rahul’s early artistic journey is marked by participation in various state and annual art exhibitions since 1999. He has shown his works at Sharadchandra Pawar Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Otur, and Bharati Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. His creative reputation was cemented with a silver medal at Manav Sanket Academy Ujjain in 2003. Rahul’s career expands from solo shows at Pradarshak Art Gallery, Mumbai (2011), and ART 2 DAY Gallery, Pune (2019), to numerous group exhibitions—including Jehangir Art Gallery (2015), Coomaraswami Hall (2013), and Kolkata’s City Art Factory (2019).
His paintings have been collected widely, both in India and abroad. Rahul’s enduring presence is highlighted by participation in events supporting social causes like breast cancer awareness and virtual exhibitions such as Art Stories in 2021.
