Anjiya Naik is a contemporary artist whose practice is rooted in divine expression, where spirituality, nature, and inner consciousness flow together on the canvas. Trained in Master of Applied Art and Visual Communication at JNA & Fine Arts University, Hyderabad, he also serves as an art faculty at a fine arts institution in the city, nurturing emerging talent alongside his own practice.
Working primarily with mixed media and acrylic on canvas, Anjiya explores layered textures, symbolic forms, and sacred motifs such as peacocks, Nandi, bilva leaves, and organic patterns linked to Lord Shiva and the formless divine. Every painting emerges from a meditative process, transforming brushstrokes into experiences of stillness, surrender, and inner reflection.
His work often fuses ancient Hindu temple architecture—Nagara, Dravidian, and Vesara styles—drawing inspiration from historic sites like Ellora, where the play of early morning light on black stone informs his luminous colour palette. Through depictions of temples, Nandi, and cattle, he evokes serenity, devotion, and an intimate connection between the divine and the natural world.
At the heart of Anjiya’s journey is a deep reverence for the love of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, expressed through a recurring theme of “Divine Expression.” he views connecting with God as inseparable from connecting with nature, allowing each canvas to become a space of eternal love, peace, and spiritual presence.
